Enlighten Whitening
Enlighten professional teeth whitening treatment is the only system in the world that will whiten up to 16 shades easily and safely and will give you a dramatic look.
The system uses state-of-the-art materials — a combination of 10 percent and 16 percent carbamide peroxide — which are safe for the gums. Other major professional whitening systems are much higher concentration gels and therefore need to place a barrier on your gums and lips to protect them from being burnt.
Dentists love this system because it delivers a great result whilst being safer and easier to use.
To get the absolute best out of the system there is some effort required on your side.
You will need to have some impressions taken by your Enlighten accredited dentist here at Bishopsgate Dental Care. These impressions will be sent to our state-of-the-art laboratory, who will then make high quality sealed bleaching trays for you.
This usually takes about two weeks. During this time, you will use our amazing toothpaste, called Tooth Serum, twice a day instead of your regular toothpaste.
2 weeks later you will return to pick up your whitening gels so you can Start your at-home treatment with the night gels for 14 nights. The 3rd week you will finish off using the day gel. Just an hour of daily wear seals in the whiteness to complete your treatment in the final week.

Boutique Teeth Whitening
Boutique is a high-quality tooth whitening product that we use for day wear. Just like with the Enlighten system, we will make a well-fitted whitening tray just for you. Included in the whitening kit, we provide you with four syringes of 6 percent hydrogen peroxide whitening gel. This fast-acting, whitening formula offers great results with just 90 minutes of daily use.
This whitening system comes in different strengths, including a milder solution for those with sensitive teeth. Dr Gina Vega, our principal dentist, will discuss your options with you, and determine a bleaching strength that will be most appropriate for achieving the shade you desire.
Boutique provides safe and effective whitening results that impress our patients time and time again.
What is the Difference Between Hydrogen Peroxide and Carbamide Peroxide?
Teeth whitening is the result of peroxide breaking up large pigment molecules into smaller, less visible molecules. Essentially, large stains become small molecules that the body absorbs.
Carbamide peroxide is hydrogen peroxide compounded with urea, which helps give it a longer, more predictable shelf life. Hydrogen peroxide breaks down rapidly on its own.
Over-the-counter products that do not require involvement of a dental professional are often ineffective, as the concentration of hydrogen peroxide is too low to make much difference.
Brilliant Results from Both Whitening Systems
Now you can keep your teeth white even longer by using both whitening systems! By keeping your trays safe and using the home gel, you can top up your whitening treatment every now and then.
We recommend you wear your trays one night every two or three months to keep your teeth at their optimum whitening level. For added benefit, you can also use Tooth Serum to help maintain the colour and protect your teeth. Both the home gel and Tooth Serum are available for purchase from your dentist.
